I call these sunset railings, I am not sure if the design has a proper name, a Blake & Bull bespoke installation of course! The sun was shining on the day, and the terrace seems like somewhere one might enjoy a cocktail whilst the sun sets, name seems fitting to me! Jacob our youngest team member worked hard to fix the double curves in place, a job that requires skills beyond his years. He makes us proud every day! {meet him here}
This sunny garden has recently been landscaped and is now ready for planting {the fun bit}. Now fitted, the Blake & Bull hand built railings will be surrounded by a resin surface. We cannot wait to see how it all comes together. I love the pink dappled willow {Salix Integra 'Hakuro Nichiki'}, these sweet small trees extend the blossom season to have pink all year around.
We work carefully to fettle and smooth each weld that we make, there were a lot in this piece. This attention to detail is not all about the aesthetics, we check for vulnerable welds, drips and sharp swarf however small. This is all part of the dry fit process, where the railing projects sections are married up before coating, to check that the fit is good.
There are some astounding railings in Corsham town, The gates at Corsham court and The Pound Arts Centre {the old school house} being some. We are proud to be in such good company!
